Search people discreetly

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

There comes a moment in individuals life when he/ she does not feel right about a person or a thing. The sixth sense of your tingles because of that person and you just can not let go of it without verifying it. Obviously you do not want that person to know that you are snooping behind his back. You are afraid if he/she comes to know of it they will probably do the same to you. So what is the discreet way of doing people search?
First of all you need to understand the difference between private and public records. Doing people search could be tedious if you do not have such basic concepts. Personal information like birth dates, social security numbers, financial and medical information are considered private records and are not easily accessible.
There are websites that offer such services but they only provide public records. You will not get private information without coughing up good money for it. Although with the technological advances today you could probably find tit bits if you look close enough. Social networking sites are a good help if you are looking for some material on a person.
Even courts are a good source of information for criminal records. You will have to give an application in written and wait for information for months together at an end. There are more than a bunch of courts that provide such information but beware juvenile records are not accessible.
These days most people conduct background check on the people they meet, company’s on their new employees and friends on their new friends which they have just picked up. These searches may turn up nothing at all and if the person knew you were snooping on him he/she will not be pleased about it and may leave you. So keep the search information to yourself and if you do get paid services, be sure to destroy any receipts that you may have of transactions.

Cell phone numbers not being considered as public information

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

Often you might have received emails which state that the cell phone users need to register their mobile numbers with the National Do Not Call Registry in order to avoid the calls made by the telemarketing executives. You must note that these all are fake emails as the telemarketers are strictly prohibited by the law to call up on wireless phones. The cell phone numbers have always remained as a private source of identity and will continue to be so in the future as well.

There are a host of reasons as to why the cell numbers are not considered as public information. Even though there has been a wide amount of interest worldwide to create a public directory which will contain mobile numbers, yet these numbers will never be published in a public directory.

One of the vital reasons for this the cell phone charges which is much higher than that of landline telephones. There are certain other charges that are involved in the use of cell phones, for instance, charges on call waiting, texting, caller ID, accessing internet, and so on. The users also need to pay for every additional value that they add to their monthly plan. Eventually it puts the users at risk of being charged for unwanted calls from unknown identities. This prohibits the cell phone numbers from being public information. However, you can always have the advantage of finding information about the owner of a particular number by making use of reverse phone lookup.

There is also another reason as to why the cell phone numbers are not considered public information. It is because often the cell phone owners change their numbers at the time of switching off to other phone providers or getting new mobile phone for themselves. This makes the accumulation of accurate information very difficult for the person who is indulged in the act.

One cannot rule out the possibility that cell phone numbers would never become public information but there is no such possibility in the near future.
